U.S. English Language Specialist and RELO Visit the American Corner Karmiel: U.S. English Language Specialist Leslie Opp Beckman of the University of Oregon and Regional English Language Officer, Andrea Schindler visited the American Corner Karmiel (ACK) on April 19, 2005. The two met with the Corner's director, Nurit Mazor, in order to enhance the ACK's Web-based English teaching resources. Leslie Opp Beckman and Andrea Schindler provided guidance on cutting edge English teaching strategies and inquiry-based education in the English classroom, available for English teachers in Karmiel and the surrounding areas. The ACK holds a collection of English teaching material, IIP publications, and applications and newsletters for "CLASS," Embassy Tel Aviv's upcoming English language immersion seminar, which will take place in July 2005.
